I'm only half-way through season 1 on DVD! I'm such a damn newbie. 
Thought I'd pass this on. A friend of mine did this unaired interview with Kiefer Sutherland...at the end, he talks about Jack Bauer, and if he thinks Jack is doomed to be alone or not...
